Seared heart

I’m left with salty tears
Emptiness surrounds my heart with every sear
Alone in the dark I am honest with all my fears
Aching for your touch this emptiness to much
longings to become numb
clinging to anger to spite my tears
Why did I allow you keep here
I thought we would only live in the stars and dance in the moonlight
But the moon never stays and the starlight fades
